A few weeks ago I let you all in on a little challenge I’m taking part in with Rachel Devine (aka. Sesame Ellis) and here’s the update: I’m still working on it. It’s funny, but when you’re shooting digitally, 72 frames is nothing. A drop in the bucket. I could fire off 72 frames in a matter of minutes when working with young children or my husband, especially. But what if it was film? That’s the challenge after all. What if I were shooting film and only had 72 frames? Well, that’s a different story. I’m more picky. I take more care when adjusting my settings and then I just sit and wait. Wait for the perfect smile, for eye contact. I’m less concerned with getting tac sharp images and I’m more in the moment. I’m only up to about 50 frames so I’ve still got some work to do. Stay tuned!
